What is activeowners.org?

activeowners.org is the domain name used for investor communication by
Railways Pension Trustee Company Ltd (Railpen) and
Universities Superannuation Scheme Ltd (USS).

In 2010,the two pension funds jointly agreed a common policy on governance related matters (though each asset owner will cast their vote on an individual basis). As a follow-up to voting,Railpen and USS propose to write to investee companies to advise of the rationale where they have not voted in alignment with management.

 For 2010/2011,the policy will cover companies in the FTSE All Share.
